Project: Chicago

Project: Chicago, C=C’s first artistic intervention is in the works of being mapped out and we’re super excited about it! We are in the process of applying for a grant through the “Propeller Fund,” a Chicago-based initiative from Gallery 400, UIC, and ThreeWalls toward private arts projects that engage and sustain the larger non-traditional arts community of this vibrant city- precisely C=C’s mission.

We are seeking artists for our very first project, which will undoubtedly be a huge public event, exhibition, party, and inside look at the unconventional artists’ studio within the public sphere. We’ll keep you updated on any progress, but please send us your contact info and website if you’re a Chicago-based artist interested in being featured in this large-scale, legal(!), and innovative public intervention.

We’ve already done a bit of location scouting around Chi-town, and here’s the kind of canvas we’ve got in mind. Empty buildings that could potentially be transformed into beautiful works of art for the benefit of the entire Chicago community…
